Out-of-Network Provider for Insurance
Clients pay out-of-pocket for my clinical services. I can email you a Superbill for your services (a receipt for your session) and you can submit as a claim to your insurance provider. Please note I am not in-network with any insurance providers. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be paid for or reimbursed in part. Please contact your provider to verify if and how your plan compensates you for out-of-network psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
- Does my plan cover out-of-network mental health services?
Payment
I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. Payment is due at time of session. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) you may be able to pay for services with these accounts.
Good Faith Estimate
The Federal “No Suprise Act” grants you the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel by contacting me by email or phone at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session. Insurance will not reimburse for missed sessions.
